Phelps Ambulance 2192 was dispatched to the NYS Thruway for a motorcycle vs.
deer MVA just after midnight. 2192 was transporting the operator the motorcycle to
Strong Memorial Hospital, with Lyons ALS, when 2192 had a collision with another
deer on the Thruway, putting the rig out of service. 2191 was dispatched, and
responded to complete the patient transport to Strong. 2191 returned to service
shortly before 3 A.M. The motorcyclists injuries were non life-threatening.
200+ pound buck on County Road 6, south of Cress Road. No transport was made.
