Phelps Fire Department responded as automatic mutual aid with Oaks Corners Fire
Dept. to a residence on County Road 23 early Sunday morning for a reported
structure fire. Oaks Corners Chief 32-0 arrived on scene to find nothing showing.
Phelps Engine 2131 arrived on scene, stretched an attack line to the front door, and
investigated the report of fire in the back room. The crew found an electrical fire in
the wall, which was possibly started by a rodent chewing electrical wires. Other units
operating on the scene were Phelps Rescue 2171, Tanker 2141, and Oaks Corners
Engine 3211.
