on the Thruway, at Milemarker 330 Westbound. 2192, 2121, & 2101 responded, to find a 1 car MVA, with no rollover. The patient refused medical treatment, and all units went back in service shortly after. dispatched for a reported chimney fire around 6:30 this morning. 2104 arrived on scene, and reported nothing showing. 2131 & 2171 responded, and did not find any extension into the walls, and cleared the scene after an investigation and clean up of the chimney. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.28.08; MVA; Thruway, MM 326 Eastbound
Milemarker 326 for a car vs. tractor trailer MVA. 2191 responded, and Mercy Flight was requested to the scene. 1 patient was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital. County Road 6. The victim was reported to be over 1000' off of the road. 2192 & 2151 responded (w/ Gator 2161 on board). Both units were able to access patient, and the patient was transported via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital with a double compound fracture to his lower right leg. near County Road 26. 2191, 2171, 2121 all responded. 2 patients were transported BLS to Clifton Springs. Phelps Fire awaited the arrival of NYSEG to the scene, and did not clear the scene for several hours. rollover, on Fort Hill Road, near County Road 23. 210 & 2101 responded, and arrived on location, confirming a 1 car rollover, with 3 patients. 2192 was already en-route, and 2 additional ambulances (2191 & Finger Lakes Ambulance) were requested to the scene, in addition to Mercy Flight. Phelps Engine 2121 & Rescue 2171 responded, and assisted with vehicle extrication, and setting up a landing zone. Mercy Flight, 2191, & Finger Lakes Ambulance each transported 1 patient, to Strong Memorial Hospital. Road & State Route 88 for a reported MVA involving a car and a piece of Farm equipment. 2101 (Asst. Chief Springer) arrived on location, and confirmed an MVA, partially blocking, involving a farm tractor and a passenger car. Phelps Engine 2121 & Rescue 2171 responded to assist with scene safety and traffic control, as no extrication was required. The Phelps Ambulance transported one patient to Clifton Springs hospital with minor injuries. pole. 2101 arrived on location, and reported a 1 car MVA, with a live primary power line resting on the occupied pick up. NYSEG was notified, and responded. NYSEG assisted at the scene, and the occupant was removed unharmed, and returned home. +++ The Phelps Fire Department responded to several other calls throughout the storm for wires and trees down throughout the district, as well as a CO detector activation. Wind gusts between 50-60mph were reported during the storm. the structure, at BOCES Business Ventures on the corner of Rte 88 / Rte 96. 2101 (Asst. Chief Springer,) responded, and arrived on scene, and requested NYSEG to the scene. 2171, 2131, & 2192 (precautionary) responded to the scene and located a leak on the hot water heater.
