NYS Thruway this afternoon. 3 patients were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by ground. 3.25.08; Farmington MVA [MPNNews Article]
Farmington Fire Lt. John Weidenborner, who was involved in a MVA in Farmington on Monday. Many of us have had the pleasure of working with John, as he is employed by OCALS. evening. Much thanks goes to the banquet committee for their countless hours of planning for this event. Recognition was given to 2007 officers, including past chief Wayne Conklin, for his 5 years as Chief of Department (pictured top right.) The 2007 firefighter of the year award was presented to Jack Caves (pictured bottom right.) A "CPR Save" award was presented on behalf of the Phelps Ambulance Inc. and New York State for a June 17th, 2007 EMS call for cardiac arrest. The efforts of the following members led to the "save" of the patient, which allowed that patient to walk himself out of the hospital: (pictured left to right) Clarence Guard, Terry Lush, Matt Eldridge, Dana Egburtson, Tim DeBaere, Jeff Guard (award accepted by Stacy, on behalf of Jeff), Wayne Conklin, Rob Middlebrook (not pictured,) & Bill Bishop (not pictured.) 3.6.08; Garage Fire; Fort Hill Road [PHOTOS]
for a reported garage fire on fort hill road, approximately 20' away from the house. 2101 (command) arrived on scene, and reported a working structure fire, with the house as an immediate exposure. Phelps Engine 2131 arrived on scene, and began the initial fire attack and exposure protection, with assistance from Rescue 2171 and Oaks Corners 3211 crews as they arrived. Phelps Tanker 2141, Engine 2121, and Seneca Castle FD Tanker handled water supply for the incident. All units were back in service by 2::30pm after extensive overhaul, and minimal damage to the house. [PHOTOS] 3.3.08; February 2008 Response Statistics Updated

30am on Main Street in the village. The fire was reported out, with heavy smoke filling the apartment. 2101 arrived on scene and confirmed dispatch information, and held with Engine 2131 & Rescue 2171 for ventilation and overhaul. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and all units cleared the scene around 11:30am. |
